Muscle fatigue is the decline in ability of a muscle to generate force. It can be a result of vigorous exercise but abnormal fatigue may be caused by barriers to or interference with the different stages of muscle contraction.
Fatigue is a complex problem, since multiple factors are clearly involved.
The aim of the course will be to provide the state of the art and cutting-edge developments in knowledge and clinical approach of exercise training and muscle fatigue in healthy subjects and in patients with neuromuscular disease.
The course will highlight research findings related to fatigue in main neuromuscular disorders, approaching both the methological issues and clinical applications of more recent achievements on pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment of this important manifestation of functional muscle impairment.
The program is organized in thematic sections within each of them divided in didactive lessons and pratical sections illustrating the applications of the topics.
